Pierwsza w historii wejherowskich uczelni praca licencjacka w języku kaszubskim poświęcona jest stowarzyszeniu Kaszëbskô Jednota. Obronił ją Mateusz Schmidt, absolwent socjologii, który znalazł się wśród wyróżnionych podczas uroczystego dyplomatorium Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej Szkoły Wyższej w Wejherowie.
Autor jest członkiem powstałego ponad półtora roku temu stowarzyszenia, które wśród swoich celów wymienia integrację członków, promocję świadomości kaszubskiej i starania o zmianę statusu prawnego Kaszubów w Polsce. Pomysł na pracę nasunął się sam – mówi Mateusz Schmidt – a była nim socjologiczna analiza stowarzyszenia Kaszëbskô Jednota.
Dodajmy, że na wejherowskiej uczelni oprócz licencjatu o Kaszëbsczi Jednoce powstała też m.in. praca o grupie literackiej Zymk.
