Otwarto oddział kardiochirurgii dziecięcej na Zaspie
Oddział Kardiochirurgii Dziecięcej wreszcie zyskał własną, docelową siedzibę.
Po ośmiu latach od chwili powstania i przeprowadzek w różne miejsca wczoraj nastąpiło jego otwarcie w szpitalu na Zaspie zarządzanym przez spółkę Copernicus. Na powierzchni ponad 800 m kw. znajduje się 16 miejsc dla chorych dzieci. Na jedno zwykłe łóżko przypada jedno stanowisko intensywnego nadzoru, a to znaczy, że na oddziale można będzie przeprowadzać najbardziej skomplikowanych operacji serca u dzieci.
Zespół lekarski Kardiochirurgii Dziecięcej w Gdańsku to na razie siedem osób – kardiochirurdzy dziecięcy, kardiolodzy i kardioanestezjolodzy. Z blisko czterech mln zł, które kosztowała ta inwestycja w nową kardiochirurgię dziecięcą na Zaspie, prawie połowę, bo milion osiemset tysięcy przekazał samorząd województwa pomorskiego. Oddział kardiochirurgii nosi imię Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy
