Ośrodek Kolonijno-Wychowawczy w Warzenku oficjalnie otwarty
W Warzenku w gminie Przodkowo oficjalnie otwarto Ośrodek Kolonijno-Wychowawczy. Rozbudowa trwała nieco ponad rok. Placówkę prowadzi Caritas Archidiecezji Gdańskiej.

Ośrodek jest bazą kolonijną w czasie letnich wakacji i zimowych ferii dla dzieci z rodzin ubogich oraz zagrożonych wykluczeniem społecznym. W nowym skrzydle są 23 pokoje, wielofunkcyjna sala i łazienki. Wsparcia finansowego udzielił m.in. samorząd województwa pomorskiego, Fundacja Energa czy Państwowy Fundusz Rehabilitacji Osób Niepełnosprawnych – podkreślała prezes zarządu PFRON Dorota Habich. Po rozbudowie ośrodka zmieni się jego otoczenie. Przy jeziorze ma powstać pomost i baza sprzętu wodnego. Co roku z bezpłatnego wypoczynku w Warzenku korzysta 800 osób.
