Okradziono klasztor franciszkanów w Wejherowie. Dwóch bezdomnych mężczyzn wyłamało miedziane blachy z opierzenia filarów zabytkowego kościoła świętej Anny. Zostali ujęci na gorącym uczynku przez strażników miejskich.
Złodzieje wyrwali opierzenie z pięciu filarów, niszcząc tym samym cenny zabytek. Byli dobrze znani franciszkanom, bo często korzystali z parafialnej stołówki dla bezdomnych. Mężczyznom już postawiono zarzuty – mówi aspirant sztabowy Ryszard Rychert z wejherowskiej policji. To nie jedyny przypadek kiedy to wejherowska straż miejska zatrzymała sprawców na okradaniu obiektów sakralnych. Trzy miesiące wcześniej złodzieje próbowali włamać się do jednej z kaplic na kalwarii wejherowskiej. Łupem miały paść miedziane rury spustowe. W tym przypadku również nie zawiódł monitoring. Sprawców złapano na gorącym uczynku.
W ramach monitoringu wizyjnego w Wejherowie funkcjonują już 32 kamery.
