Ogród sensoryczny powstał w Kościerzynie
Pierwszy w Kościerzynie ogród sensoryczny powstał przy Miejskim Ośrodku Pomocy Społecznej. Dostosowany do potrzeb osób niepełnosprawnych, ma oddziaływać na zmysł dotyku, węchu, słuchu i smaku.
– Ogród ma pełnić funkcję terapeutyczną i edukacyjną – podkreśla dyrektor MOPS w Kościerzynie Sylwia Trzebiatowska-Glock.
Zlokalizowano go w ogrodzie przylegającym do siedziby Miejskiego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej. Przygotowano tam ścieżkę sensoryczną, strefę zapachową z roślinami bogatymi w olejki eteryczne oraz smakową, gdzie skosztować można truskawki, borówki i poziomki. Jest też strefa dotykowa i dźwiękowa. Ogrodu sensorycznego można korzystać codziennie w godzinach pracy Ośrodka od godziny 7:00 do 19:00. Jego powstanie kosztowało 50 tysięcy złotych.
