Odsłonięto makietę Pomnika Poległych Stoczniowców
To jedna z uroczystości upamiętniających 35 rocznicę podpisania Porozumień Sierpniowych.
– Nasza historia jest teraz dosłownie namacalna – mówił podczas odsłonięcia makiety prezydent Gdańska Paweł Adamowicz.
Makieta słynnych trzech krzyży stanęła na Placu Solidarności, przy historycznej bramie nr 2 Stoczni Gdańskiej. Wykonana z brązu odwzorowuje Pomnik Poległych Stoczniowców i jego otoczenie. Fundusze na jej budowę zebrali trójmiejscy rotarianie i Klub Lions. Zbudowano ją w ramach wspólnego programu obu organizacji „Zobaczyć świat rękami”, który ma przybliżać osobom niewidomym najważniejsze obiekty w Gdańsku, jest też pamiątką strajków z sierpnia 1980 roku. Miniatury ważnych obiektów powstają w Gdańsku od 2011 roku, Pomnik Poległych Stoczniowców to piąta makieta po Bazylice Mariackiej, żurawiu, ratuszu głównym i stadionie PGE Arena.
