Oddział Położniczy w gdyńskim szpitalu wyremontowany. Dziś uroczyste otwarcie.
To drugi etap gruntownej modernizacji oddziału, ponad 2 i pół mln zł na ten cel przekazał Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Pomorskiego. Przebudowany został Zespół Porodowy i Oddział Patologii Ciąży, dobudowano dwie zewnętrzne klatki schodowe. Na oddziale znajdują się 4 sale porodowe z pełnymi węzłami sanitarnymi, jedna sala porodowa z wanną. Szpital proponuje pacjentkom wiele alternatywnych metod opieki okołoporodowej oraz poród aktywny z wykorzystaniem worków sako, piłek, drabinek czy muzykoterapię.
Pierwszy etap modernizacji zakończono w lutym ubiegłego roku, wtedy kosztem miliona złotych poprawiono warunki pobytowe pacjentek. Na Oddziale Położniczym Szpitali Wojewódzkich w Gdyni rocznie przyjmowanych jest ponad 2300 pacjentek. Zabezpiecza go grupa lekarzy specjalistów i ponad 30 położnych.
