Oddali cześć żołnierzom poległym w Bitwie o Kępę Oksywską
Byli pokonani, ale nie zwyciężeni – mówiono o żołnierzach pierwszego i drugiego Morskiego Pułku Strzelców w Mostach w gminie Kosakowo. Dziś obchodzono tam 77-mą rocznicę Bitwy o Kępę Oksywską.
– Przegrali bitwę, ale mimo to nie zostali złamani – mówił podczas uroczystości Prezes Zarządu Krajowego Piłsudczyków Stanisław Śliwa.
Żołnierze z obu pułków walczyli w Bitwie przez 9 dni, aż do 19 września. Podczas ponad setki potyczek z hitlerowskim najeźdźcą zginęło około dwóch tysięcy osób. Pod pomnikiem w Mostach kwiaty złożyli dzisiaj samorządowcy, żołnierze, młodzież i kombatanci. Wspomina wiceprezes pomorskiego okręgu Światowego Związku Żołnierzy Armii Krajowej,Tomasz Kuplicki. 23 października na pomniku w Mostach wmurowana będzie kolejna tablica – upamiętniająca pułkownika Stanisława Dąbka, dowódcę wojsk polskich biorących udział w Bitwie o Kępę Oksywską.
