Od początku roku zamarzły już 34 osoby
W styczniu zamarzły 34 osoby. Połowa z nich w ostatni weekend – wynika z najnowszych statystyk Komendy Głównej Policji. Policjanci podkreślają, że podczas mrozów szczególnej opieki wymagają bezdomni oraz osoby starsze. Służby porządkowe patrolują ulice, a w trakcie dużych mrozów sprawdzają ogródki działkowe, piwnice, pustostany i pozostałe miejsca, w których mogą przebywać bezdomni. Policja, straż miejska, pracownicy opieki społecznej przypominają, że osoby bez dachu nad głową oraz starsze i samotne potrzebują zimą większego wsparcia. – Jeśli mamy informację o osobie przebywającej w warunkach które mogą zagrażać jej życiu czy zdrowiu bezwzględnie należy reagować – mówi Janina Czaja – dyrektor Miejskiego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej w Kościerzynie, który prowadzi w tym mieście ogrzewalnię. Dzwonić można pod numery alarmowe takie jak 997 czy 112. Osoby w potrzebie mogą też zadzwonić pod bezpłatny numer interwencyjno – informacyjny 987 – by uzyskać informacje o wolnych miejsca w noclegowniach. Numer ten wraz z wykazem placówek oferujących schronienie opublikowano na stronie internetowej Pomorskiego Urzędu Wojewódzkiego – w zakładce Akcja Zima.
