Wraz ze spadkiem temperatur w całym regionie służby ponawiają apele by nie być nie być obojętnym na los osób zagrożonych wychłodzeniem – zwłaszcza bezdomnych.
O telefonowanie w takich przypadkach proszą m.in. w Gdyni. Kompleksową pomoc oferuje tam Centrum Reintegracji i Interwencji Mieszkaniowej MOPS. Apelował Cezary Horewicz, rzecznik prasowy Miejskiego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej Gdynia. Dzwonić można także na alarmowy 112 bądź do Straży Miejskiej. W Gdyni jest 165 miejsc dla potrzebujących schronienia, a dzięki umowie z placówkami poza miastem zapewniono ich w sumie 305. Podobnie jak w ubiegłych latach streetworkerzy gdyńskiego MOPS podczas mrozów będą wyruszać na wspólne patrole z policją i Strażą Miejską. Stale uaktualniane są też zestawienia miejsc, gdzie w Gdyni przebywają osoby bezdomne.
