Nowe przystanki dla niskopodłogowych autobusów – w Gdyni dzięki przeróbkom w 27 miejscach łatwiej wsiadać osobom niepełnosprawnym, starszym a także z wózkami.
– Takie przystanki autobusowe mają tylko dwa miasta w Polsce – Słupsk i Gdynia – mówi rzecznik prasowy Urzędu Miasta Gdynia Joanna Grajter.
Gdyński tabor jest w całości niskopodłogowy, dzięki modernizacji przystanków będzie go można wykorzystać w stu procentach. Nowością są przede wszystkim wyprofilowane, niskie krawężniki, na które można wjechać bez obawy o zniszczenie opony. Dodatkowo, wymieniona została nawierzchnia zatoki – kostkę betonową i asfalt zastąpił beton, który nie odkształca się pod wpływem temperatury lub ciężaru pojazdów. Zastosowano tez kontrastowe kolory, które ułatwią osobom niedowidzącym dostrzeżenie krawędzi peronu.
Dotychczas wyremontowano 27 przystanków, do końca roku zmodernizowanych będzie jeszcze 5. Koszt inwestycji to 2 mln 700 tys zł. (Fot: www.gdynia.pl)
