Nowa droga między Redą i Rumią oficjalnie otwarta
Mieszkańcy tych miast i turyści uzyskali tym samym trzecią możliwość ominięcia mocno uczęszczanej drogi krajowej nr 6.
– Wzdłuż nowego połączenia miast biegnie też ścieżka rowerowa – tak by nowa droga maksymalnie ułatwiła życie mieszkańcom – mówi burmistrz Redy Krzysztof Krzemiński.
Jadąc z Gdyni w kierunku Półwyspu Helskiego można z Rumi pojechać tzw. drogą przez łąki do Mrzezina, można też pojechać przed Redę i Rumię ciągiem ulic Cegielniana – Leśna. Teraz także można pojechać nową ulicą Morską, która biegnie od Centrum Handlowego przy Kosynierów w Rumi do ronda na Obwodowej w Redzie. Ulicę Morską budowano kilka miesięcy, ale na rozpoczęcie prac czekano ponad 7 lat – bo z przekazaniem środków ociągał się właściciel Centrum Handlowego w Rumi. Realizacja inwestycji kosztowała około 7 milionów złotych, wymagała m. in. wymiany torfowego gruntu.
