Nielegalną fabrykę tytoniu pod Kościerzyną zlikwidowała Straż Graniczna. Funkcjonariusze zabezpieczyli prawie 8 i pół tony suszu oraz krajanki tytoniowej. Zatrzymali 6 osób.
Nielegalne fabryka mieściła się w starej hali magazynowej – była tam profesjonalna linia do produkcji papierosów z maszynami służącymi do cięcia i suszenia tytoniu. Strażnicy ujęli sześciu mężczyzn którzy akurat wypakowywali susz. Zatrzymani mają do 38 do 56 lat, to mieszkańcy Trójmiasta. Jeden z nich był też poszukiwany listem gończym – miał trafić do aresztu za jazdę po pijanemu. Wszystkim grozi kara grzywny, mogą też pójść do więzienia nawet na 3 lata. To już kolejna nielegalna fabryka tytoniu zlikwidowana przez Straż Graniczną. Pod koniec ubiegłego roku zabezpieczono półtora tony tytoniu w fabryce pod Słupskiem, wcześniej podobną ilość tytoniu skonfiskowano w powiecie gdańskim. Łącznie w ubiegłym roku funkcjonariusze Morskiego Oddziału Straży Granicznej zajęli przeszło 6 i pół tony nielegalnego tytoniu o wartości blisko 3,5 mln zł
