Nie żyje prof. Jerzy Samp, popularyzator historii Kaszubów
Kaszuba, pisarz, badacz historii literatury i kultury Pomorza XIX i XX wieku. Zmarł po ciężkiej chorobie, miał 64 lata. Jerzy Samp był autorem wielu książek i opracowań popularyzujących problematykę kaszubską, pomorską, a także gdańską. Napisał ponad 500 artykułów. Wydał ponad 30 książek, m.in.: „Zaklęta stegna. Bajki kaszubskie”, „Bedeker Gdański”, „Legendy gdańskie” oraz trylogię: „Miasto czterdziestu bram”, „Miasto tysiąca tajemnic” i „Miasto magicznych przestrzeni”. W 2009 roku otrzymał nadany przez ministra kultury i dziedzictwa narodowego brązowy medal Zasłużony Kulturze Gloria Artis. W listopadzie ubiegłego roku przy okazji wydania książki „W Gdańskiej kapsule czasu” odbył się benefis Jerzego Sampa – już bez udziału profesora, zmożonego chorobą. Wczoraj dobiegła nas smutna informacja o jego śmierci. Pogrzeb odbędzie się w tę sobotę, 21 lutego. Jerzy Samp spocznie na Cmentarzu Łostowickim w Gdańsku.
