Nazwy ulic z postaciami i tradycjami kaszubskimi
Róża Ostrowska, Władysława Wiśniewska oraz Teodora i Izydor Gulgowscy będą patronami ulic we Wdzydzach w gminie Kościerzyna. Z inicjatywy mieszkańców wszystkie nazwy ulic we wsi będą nawiązywały do postaci i tradycji kaszubskich.
– Dzięki inicjatywie mieszkańców główna ulica we wsi będzie nosiła imię założycieli skansenu Teodory i Izydora Gulgowskich – mówi sołtys Józef Brzeziński.
Wdzydze to mała wieś nad jeziorem Gołuń, gdzie na co dzień mieszka niespełna 200. mieszkańców. Latem jednak staje się centrum życia turystycznego w powiecie kościerskim. Była inspiracją dla wielu pisarzy, w tym Róży Ostrowskiej, która w powieści „Wyspa” przedstawiła krajobraz i uroki Wdzydz. Wieś znana jest też z działalności najstarszego w Polsce skansenu. Ocenia wójt Grzegorz Piechowski. Nazwy ulic na ostatniej sesji zatwierdziła rada gminy Kościerzyna. Tablice z nowymi nazwami mają pojawić się pod koniec lata.
Tymczasem już w najbliższą sobotę właśnie we Wdzydzach odbędzie się 18 Światowy Zjazd Kaszubów.
