Narastają problemy w Związku Gmin Wierzyca
Czarne chmury zbierają się nad Związkiem Gmin Wierzyca, który odpowiada za gospodarkę śmieciową w większości kościerskich gmin. Z członkostwa zrezygnowało już 5 samorządów, w tym Liniewo, Osiek, Zblewo, Starogard Gdański i Skarszewy. To może oznaczać całkowity rozpad Związku.
– Po odejściu kolejnych gmin, członkowie będą musieli przeanalizować dalszy sens funkcjonowania organizacji – mówi burmistrz Kościerzyny i jednocześnie członek Zarządu Związku Michał Majewski.
Przyczyną problemów jest zła sytuacja finansowa stowarzyszenia i podwyżki, które w ubiegłym roku dotknęły mieszkańców. W Związku Gmin Wierzyca nadal pozostają miasto i gmina Kościerzyna, a także gmina Karsin, Nowa Karczma i Stara Kiszewa. Wstępną analizę sytuacji członkowie Związku podejmą na najbliższym posiedzeniu 23 czerwca.
