Naprawiono zegar słoneczny na skwerze im. Heweliusza
Czasomierz doczekał się rekonstrukcji po dewastacji w 2007 roku – złodzieje pozbawili go wtedy metalowych elementów i herbów Gdańska i rodziny Heweliusza.
– Zamiast miedzi użyto stali, co ma zniechęcić złodziei – mówi Mówił Miejski Konserwator Zabytków w Gdańsku – Grzegorz Sulikowski.
O zegar upomnieli się mieszkańcy Gdańska zgłaszając projekt do budżetu obywatelskiego. Pomysł zdobył za mało głosów, ale poparcie tysiąca osób zwróciło uwagę Gdańskiej Spółki Wodociągowo – Kanalizacyjnej, która zdecydowała się pomóc w odbudowie. – Dzięki temu zegarowi, którego każdy może dotknąć, edukujemy młodych ludzi i starsze osoby – dodaje Adam Dąbrowski z Obserwatorium Astronomicznego.
