Najlepsi snookerzyści świata po raz czwarty w Gdyni
To chwila, na którą czekają sympatycy snookera – w hali Gdynia Arena rozegrane zostaną dziś pierwsze mecze „Gdynia Open 2016”, jedynego w Polsce profesjonalnego turnieju snookerowego.
Weźmie w nim udział 254 zawodników, w tym stu jeden profesjonalistów. W Gdynia Arenie zagra aż ośmiu mistrzów świata, w tym aktualny obrońca tytułu – Stuart Bingham. Będą też jego najwięksi rywale. Dzisiaj po południu rozpoczynają się kwalifikacje – mają wyłonić 27-u amatorów, którzy dołączą do rozgrywek w turnieju głównym. Potrwają do czwartku. Wstęp na eliminacje jest bezpłatny. W piątek rozpocznie się turniej główny – pierwszego dnia zagra pierwsza połowa drabinki, a w sobotę druga. W niedzielę szesnastu najlepszych zawodników powalczy o zwycięstwo w Gdynia Open 2016. Trzy dni turnieju głównego będą transmitowane na żywo w stacji Eurosport.
Wydarzenie odbędzie się w Gdyni po raz czwarty. Podczas imprezy przewidziano atrakcje dla najmłodszych, spotkania z gwiazdami oraz sesje szkoleniowe dla sędziów.
