Na ulicy Świętojańskiej w Gdyni powstaje Baltiq Plaza – nowoczesny kompleks stanie w miejscu pomnika Tajnego Hufca Harcerzy. Ma być to przestrzeń handlowo-usługowa wraz z apartamentami, pomnik oczywiście znajdzie w niej swoje miejsce – między budynkami zostanie zachowany publiczny plac. Miasto z największą liczbą Kaszubów na Pomorzu staje się coraz bardziej rozpoznawalne na świecie. Gdynia reklamuje się jako jedyne miejsce, gdzie z nowoczesnych budynków stojących choćby na Placu Kaszubskim można przejść bezpośrednio nad morze. Pytanie, czy inwestycje jak Baltiq Plaza mają sprawić, by stała się miastem elitarnym. Prezes firmy Moderna, która wybuduje Baltiq Plaza Adam Małaczek dodaje, że prace mają ruszyć jeszcze w tym roku, a odbiór inwestycji planowo nastąpi na początku roku 2016. – Do tego czasu Śródmieście ma zmieni swój wygląd – zapowiada prezydent Gdyni Wojciech Szczurek. Gdynia rozwija się jako miasto nowoczesne, o czym świadczy nie tylko powstająca Baltiq Plaza, ale przede wszystkim Park Naukowo-Technologiczny i inne inwestycje biznesowe. Pytanie, czy Kaszubi będą potrafili znaleźć w niej swoje miejsce.
