Prezent od Gwiazdora? Od zawsze na Kaszubach!
Kto na Kaszubach w Wigilię przynosi grzecznym dzieciom prezenty? Oczywiście jest to Gwiazdor, a nie jak w ostatnim czasie się przyjęło – święty Mikołaj. Ten odwiedza domy 6 grudnia, w Wigilię za to przychodzi Gwiazdor ubrany w futrzaną czapkę i kożuch, który ze sobą zawsze ma wór z prezentami i rózgę dla niegrzecznych dzieci.
Gwiazdor pytał też domowników o znajomość modlitw, wierszy czy kolęd. Ten zwyczaj od lat obecny był na terenach z dawnego zaboru pruskiego, czyli w Wielkopolsce, Ziemi Lubuskiej, Kujawach oraz na Kaszubach.
– Niestety pod wpływem mass – mediów i wielkich centrów handlowych coraz częściej Gwiazdora w naszych domach zastępuje święty Mikołaj – mówili uczestnicy wieczoru o zwyczajach kaszubskich, który odbył się w Centrum Kultury Kaszubskiej w Kościerzynie. Rozmawiała z nimi Ania Cupa-Dziemińska.
