19 marca. Na Kaszubach od rana zrobiło się czarno-żółto
Na Kaszubach od rana zrobiło się czarno-żółto. Na ulicach miast powiewają flagi kaszubskie a uczniowie w szkołach przygotowują apele. Dzisiaj świętujemy Dzień Jedności Kaszubów. Święto ma przypominać bogatą historię narodu a także budzić dumę z bycia Kaszubą.

Symbolem tego święta jest głównie kaszubska flaga, której kolory czarny i żółty pochodzą od naszego herbu czyli gryfa.
To mityczne zwierzę przedstawiane jest jako twór z głową, szyją, szponami i skrzydłami orła oraz tułowiem, łapami i ogonem lwa. Jego pierwsze przedstawienia pochodzą ze starożytnej Mezopotamii oraz Indii. Gryf był symbolem przebiegłości, zręczności oraz siły. Pod koniec 12-go wieku pojawił się w herbach książąt zachodniopomorskich.
Dzisiaj występuje w herbie województwa pomorskiego i wielu innych samorządów a przede wszystkim utożsamiają się z nim sami Kaszubi.
Na ulicach Kościerzyny nasza reporterka Ania Cupa – Dziemińska spotkała pana Henryka Błaszkowskiego z wnuczką Mileną, którzy w szczególny sposób dzisiaj świętują. Flagi pojawiły się też dzisiaj między innymi na ulicach Kościerzyny i Gdańska. Przypomnę też, że pieśnią jedności Kaszubów jest „Zemia Rodnô”, którą można usłyszeć na naszej antenie codziennie w południe i o północy.
