Na Kamienną Górę można wjechać kolejką torową
W Gdyni otwarto kolejkę na szczyt Kamiennej Góry – ma ułatwić dostęp do tego punktu widokowego.
Do tej pory by z Kamiennej Góry obejrzeć panoramę miasta i morza trzeba było się wspinać po schodach bądź pokonać około półtora kilometra ulicami. Taki marsz często był ponad siły osób starszych,utrudniony dostęp mieli też np. rodzice z dziećmi na wózkach. Od tego weekendu na górny taras Kamiennej Góry mogą wjechać kolejką torową, która kursuje z placu Grunwaldzkiego. Wagonik zabiera jednorazowo 12 pasażerów stojących lub 8 siedzących, na wzniesienie wjeżdża w ciągu 2 minut. Obsługują go sami pasażerowie przywołując i uruchamiając przyciskiem. Przejazd jest bezpłatny.
Wraz z kolejką oddano do użytku podziemny parking pod dawnym placem Grunwaldzkim, który dziś jest zielonym skwerem. Wjazd i wyjazd mieści się od strony ulicy Wybickiego, przy dolnej stacji kolejki. (Fot.: mlodagdynia.pl)
