Na Grabówku powstanie pełnowymiarowe lodowisko
W Gdyni powstanie pełnowymiarowe lodowisko – ma być gotowe za dwa i pół roku na Grabówku.
Obiekt powstanie przy ulicy Morskiej w sąsiedztwie Zespołu Szkół Usługowych. Jesienią i zimą wypełni się łyżwiarzami, a latem wielbicielami rolek. Pomysł na lodowisko w Gdyni zrodził się podczas pierwszej edycji budżetu obywatelskiego. W kilkunastu dzielnicach złożono wniosek o budowę takiego obiektu. Projekt nie wygrał w głosowaniu, ale bardzo duża liczba głosów zwróciła uwagę władz miasta.
Decyzja o lokalizacji lodowiska na Grabówku zapadła po analizie ponad 20 różnych punktów w różnych dzielnicach Gdyni. Brano pod uwagę kilka czynników – wielkość terenu, jego sposób skomunikowania zresztą miasta oraz by nowy obiekt mógł być zapleczem dla szkoły lub zespołu szkół. Nowe odowisko będzie zadaszoną taflą. Powstaną także szatnie, wypożyczalnia łyżew, parking i małe zaplecze gastronomiczne. Ma rozpocząć działalność w sezonie 2017/18.
