Na cmentarzu w Gdyni spocznie admirał Józef Unrug
Na cmentarzu w Gdyni spocznie dziś legendarny dowódca kampanii wrześniowej admirał Józef Unrug i jego żona Zofia. W państwowym pogrzebie udział weźmie prezydent Andrzej Duda.
Admirał Unrug zmarł 45 lat temu we Francji. W swoim testamencie dowódca polskiej Floty i Obrony Wybrzeża z 1939 roku upomniał się o pełną rehabilitację i godne uczczenie bohaterstwa podwładnych i towarzyszy broni. Dopiero wtedy jego szczątki miały być przewiezione do Polski. Jego woli stało się zadość. Uroczystości rozpoczęto wczoraj symbolicznie w Helu od odsłonięcia pamiątkowej tablicy i mszy świętej. Dziś admirał Józef Unrug i jego żona Zofia zostaną pochowani w panteonie bohaterów Marynarki Wojennej na gdyńskim Oksywiu. O 10:00 w kościele garnizonowym rozpocznie się msza święta, uroczysty pochówek w Kwaterze Pamięci z udziałem głowy państwa rozpocznie się o 12:50.
