Muzeum Ziemi Kościerskiej szykuje się do remontu swoich obiektów
Zabytkowy ratusz przy rynku miasta zostanie zmodernizowany, a muzeum zyska nowe sale wystawiennicze.
– To będzie bardzo pracowity rok – mówi dyrektor placówki Krzysztof Jażdżewski.
Remont będzie kosztował blisko 200 tysięcy złotych, które ze środków unijnych pozyskał samorząd miejski. Kolejne fundusze, tym razem z Ministerstwa Kultury, muzeum chce pozyskać na renowację wystawy stałej o historii Kościerzyny. W nowych salach władze muzeum planują stworzenie nowej wystawy poświęconej znanym postaciom pochodzącym z rejonu kościerskiego. Będą to m.in. pamiątki przekazane przez pochodzącego z Kościerzyny prymasa Henryka Muszyńskiego – dodaje dyrektor Jażdżewski. W tym roku Muzeum ogłosi również konkurs na zaprojektowanie pomnika poświęconego Aleksandrowi Majkowskiemu. Monument ma być gotowy w przyszłym roku na 80 rocznicę śmierci poety.
