Muzeum szuka miejsca na bibliotekę
Muzeum Piśmiennictwa i Muzyki Kaszubsko-Pomorskiej w Wejherowie szuka miejsca, w którym mogłoby utworzyć bibliotekę z prawdziwego zdarzenia. Zapełniłaby ją kolekcja zmarłego trzy lata temu profesora Gerarda Labudy.
Spuścizna po profesorze to licząca około 26 tysięcy pozycji kolekcja książek, czasopism, rękopisów i starodruków. Ich tematyka obejmuje m.in . region kaszubsko-pomorski, nauki humanistycznych i nauki ścisłe. Dyrektor muzeum, Tomasz Fopke, ma nadzieję, że uda się znaleźć lokal w którym będzie można stworzyć bibliotekę z prawdziwego zdarzenia. To nie jedyna trudność z jaką boryka się muzeum przy opracowywaniu spuścizny po profesorze, bo księgozbiór trzeba jeszcze skatalogować. Do dzisiaj udało się opracować około dwa i pół tysiąca pozycji.
– Do tego zbiór jest wielojęzyczny, co jeszcze bardziej komplikuje sprawę – mówi Tomasz Fopke.
Na nadmiar pracy nikt jednak nie narzeka, na kolekcję naukowca było więcej chętnych, między innymi kórnicka biblioteka Polskiej Akademii Nauk i Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu. Księgozbiór trafił do Wejherowa kilka miesięcy po śmierci profesora, w lutym 2011 roku.
