Monitoringiem będą się zajmować policja i straż miejska
W Rumi monitoringiem wizyjnym będą się zajmować wspólnie – policja i straż miejska. Zmiana ma wejść w życie na początku przyszłego roku.
Monitoring działa prewencyjnie i jest podstawowym narzędziem do walki z przestępczością na ulicach miasta – kradzieżami, bójkami, czy wybrykami chuliganów. Do tej pory obraz z ponad dwudziestu kamer trafiał na do komisariatu policji. Od stycznia obraz będzie monitorowany przez strażników miejskich. Obie bazy operacyjne będą się wzajem uzupełniać – wyjaśnia szef Straży Miejskiej w Rumi Roman Świrski. Do obsługi monitoringu w straży mają być zatrudnione co najmniej dwie nowe osoby. Prace mają zacząć od początku przyszłego roku.
