Modlili się o bezpieczną pracę – na odpuście Piotra i Pawła
To tradycja, która nas łączy – mówiono w sobotę podczas Morskiej Pielgrzymki Rybaków. Kutry z Helu, Jastarni i Chałup a także z Mechelinek i Rewy przybyły do Pucka na odpust świętych Piotra i Pawła.
– To znakomita okazja do integracji – mówiła Katarzyna Sychowska, prezes puckiego oddziału Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko – Pomorskiego, które współorganizowało wydarzenie.
Pielgrzymowanie ma długą tradycję, której początki sięgają około 1217 r., kiedy to nadano Puckowi przywilej odbywania jarmarków w dniu patronów parafii. Półwysep przez długi czas był szeregiem wysepek i dotarcie do Pucka mogło się odbywać jedynie łodziami. W 1981 roku tradycję reaktywowano. Ważnym elementem uroczystości jest nabożeństwo na wodach Zatoki Puckiej, gdzie wspólnie z biskupem rybacy modlili się o pomyślność i bezpieczną pracę. W uroczystości jak co roku wzięli też udział mieszkańcy Kaszub i turyści. Oprócz rybackich kutrów w pielgrzymce brały udział także nowoczesne jachty, motorówki i żaglówki. Po nabożeństwie na wodach zatoki odprawiono mszę w porcie rybackim a po niej odbył się festyn rybacki.
