Milion złotych na prace przy zabytkach w Gdyni. Miejscy radni określili na ostatniej sesji wysokość dotacji przeznaczonych w tegorocznym budżecie na prace remontowe, które są konieczne ze względu na zły stan techniczny budynków oraz na prace, które są bardzo pilne i mają znaczenie dla wizerunku miasta.
Dla budynków wpisanych indywidualnie do rejestru zabytków zaproponowano przyznanie dofinansowania w wysokości maksymalnie 70 procent kwoty określonej w kosztorysie. Dla budynków położonych na obszarach zabytkowych dotacje w wysokości 50 lub 30 procent na zakwalifikowane prace. Wśród obiektów objętych wsparciem finansowym znalazły się m.in.: kościoły parafialne: pw. św. Michała Archanioła i pw. Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa oraz Budynek Sądu Rejonowego przy placu Konstytucji i Akademia Morska.
