Mija 37 lat od podpisania w Gdańsku Porozumień Sierpniowych
Dziś mija 37 lat od podpisania w Gdańsku Porozumień Sierpniowych zawartych między władzami komunistycznymi a przedstawicielami robotniczych komitetów strajkowych.
Zgoda komisji rządowej na 21 postulatów wysuniętych przez strajkujących w Stoczni Gdańskiej doprowadziła do powstania Solidarności i stała się początkiem przemian z 1989 roku. – 31 sierpnia to dla nas jeden z najważniejszych dni w roku – mówi Stefan Zakrzewski z NSZZ Solidarność. Porozumienia sierpniowe dotyczyły m.in. utworzenia nowych, niezależnych, samorządowych związków zawodowych, prawa do strajku i ograniczenia cenzury. – Wielu z nas przyszło potem za te postulaty słono zapłacić – wspomina Andrzej Osipów, który 37 lat temu zasiadał w historycznej Sali BHP jako członek międzyzakładowej komisji strajkowej. Obchody rocznicy Porozumień Sierpniowych rozpoczęto wczoraj w Gdyni galą wręczenia odznaczeń Bohaterom Sierpnia’80. Dziś o 10:00 złożone zostaną kwiaty pod pomnikiem przy Urzędzie Miasta. Główne obchody związkowców odbędą się w Gdańsku – o 15:00 posiedzenie Zarządu Regionu Gdańskiego Solidarność, o 17:00 msza św. w Bazylice św Brygidy. Swoje obchody zaplanował też Komitet Obrony Demokracji: o 10:00 rozbije pod Salą BHP Miasteczko Wolności gdzie odbędą się projekcje filmowe i panele dyskusyjne, a o 19:00 wiec z udziałem Lecha Wałęsy.
