Mieszkańcy i turyści w Karwi oddano do użytku publiczną toaletę – drugi taki przybytek w gminie Władysławowo. Budynek i jego otoczenie wykonano tak, by oprócz spełniania oczywistej funkcji upiększyły też przestrzeń przy skrzyżowaniu ulic Kopernika i Wojska Polskiego.
Głównym elementem placu jest budynek z dwoma wejściami, przystosowany do potrzeb osób niepełnosprawnych. Obok stanęła też fontanna, a w niej obracająca się, podświetlana kula ziemska ze wskazaną lokalizacją Karwi. Wokoło umieszczono donice z siedziskami w kształcie łuku, ławki parkowe, stojaki rowerowe oraz totem multimedialny z ekranem dotykowym. Całości dopełniają podświetlane, granitowe płyty wykończone betonową kostką oraz stalowa pergola, kwietniki i pnącza.
Wszystko to kosztowało blisko 700 tys zł. Na inwestycję gmina Władysławowo pozyskała 300 tys zł unijnego dofinansowania z Północnokaszubskiej Lokalnej Grupy Rybackiej. Przybytek podobny do tego w Karwi, tylko w skromniejszym otoczeniu, od kilku lat działa przy ulicy Hryniewieckiego we Władysławowie.
