Mieszkańcy chcą podziału gminy Kartuzy
Za podziałem gminy Kartuzy na gminę wiejską i miejską opowiedziała się większość głosujących. Frekwencja w niedzielnych konsultacjach społecznych wyniosła 9%. Głos w sprawie oddzielenia miasta od gminy zabrało w sumie 2 tys. 223 osoby z ponad 24 tys. 300-u uprawnionych. Większość z nich – bo 71 % – opowiedziało się „za” podziałem. Inicjatywę Komitetu Utworzenia Wiejskiej Gminy Kartuzy poparło 1 tys. 588, głosów przeciwnych było 597, oddano też 26 głosów wstrzymujących, 12 było nieważnych. Zwolennicy podziału dominowali w siedmiu z dziewięciu punktów, w których prowadzone były konsultacje. Przeciwna podziałowi większość była jedynie w Kartuzach i Dzierżążnie. Wyniki konsultacji nie są wiążące dla samorządu, decyzja o ewentualnym wszczęciu procedury związanej z podziałem gminy na wiejską i miejską zapadnie na forum rady gminy.
