Midge Ure legendarny muzyk, frontman i wokalista Ultravox wystąpi w maju w klubie Atlantic!
Artysta zaprezentuje nowy repertuar, w którym zagra i zaśpiewa klasyczne utwory z albumów Ultravox oraz ze swojej kariery solowej. Podczas występów fani będą mogli usłyszeć wiele niezapomnianych i tak ważnych dla muzyki rockowej piosenek jak: „Dancing With Tears In My Eyes”, „The Voice”, „Hymn”, „Vienna” oraz „If I Was” i „Breathe” zaśpiewanych przez jeden z najwspanialszych męskich głosów w muzyce rockowej ostatnich 40 lat.
Midge Ure, który dołączył do Ultravox w 1980 roku nagrywając i komponując utwory na album „Vienna” w znacznym stopniu wpłynął na uformowanie się nowego wówczas stylu w muzyce, wywodzącego się z post-punka i nowej fali, który następnie został nazwany new romantic. Uważa się, że album „Vienna” (1980) był jednym z prekursorów tego stylu.
Kolejne płyty „Rage In Eden” (1981), „Quartet” (1982) oraz „Lament” (1984) ugruntowały pozycję Ultravox, jako jednego z współtwórców najważniejszych dokonań w muzyce rock i pop, jakimi bez wątpienia było pojawienie się new romantic, nowej fali oraz synth-popu w pierwszej połowie lat 80 ubiegłego stulecia.
Przełomowy dla kariery solowej Midge’a okazał się rok 1985. Artysta wydał swój pierwszy solowy album „The Gift”, z którego pochodzi niezapomniany przebój „If I Was”. W tym samym roku wspólnie z Bobem Geldofem skomponował piosenkę „Do They Know It’s Christmas?”, która stała się zaczynem do wielkiego koncertu charytatywnego na rzecz głodującej Afryki – Live Aid.
W roku 2008 ku ogromnemu zaskoczeniu i radości setek tysięcy fanów na całym świecie, ogłoszono reaktywację Ultravox po 23 latach niebytu na scenie! Zespół wyruszył w trasę koncertową. Natomiast w roku 2012 został wydany „Brilliant”, pierwszy od 28 lat album formacji w oryginalnym składzie. Płyta zebrała bardzo dobre recenzje na całym świecie.
W roku 2014 po 13 latach oczekiwania światło dzienne ujrzał długo wyczekiwany solowy album Midge’a „Fragile”, który zebrał świetne recenzje w Polsce i na świecie. Pochodzący z niego singiel „Become” długo utrzymywał się na Liście Przebojów Trójki. Pod koniec 2017 Artysta wydał album „Orchestrated”, na którym pzredstawił swoim wielbicielom najważniejsze utwory ze swojej kariery zaaranżowane na orkiestrę. Krążek spotkał się z uznaniem fanów i krytyków.
