Martwy wieloryb będzie złożony na placu AMW
W Helu fiaskiem zakończyła się próba wydobycia z morza martwego wieloryba. Operacja ma być wznowiona po południu, po sprowadzeniu dodatkowego sprzętu.
Ciało olbrzymiego ssaka znaleziono w sobotę przy plaży w Stegnie. Odholowano je do Helu gdzie naukowcy ze Stacji Morskiej Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego mają ustalić jaki to gatunek wieloryba i dlaczego zwierzę padło. Rano podjęto próbę wydobycia walenia z morza. Operację przerwano, gdy ciężar okazał się zbyt duży dla podstawionego dźwigu. Wieloryb waży 15 ton, dodatkowo akcję komplikuje stan zwłok, w których nagromadziła się duża ilość gazów. Trzeba postępować ostrożnie, by waleń nie wybuchł.
Operacja wyciągania ogromnego ssaka na brzeg ma być wznowiona po południu – gdy do portu w Helu przyjedzie potężniejszy dźwig.
Wieloryb odholowany z plaży w Stegnie na Hel ma być wydobyty z wody i złożony na placu zarządzanym przez Agencję Mienia Wojskowego. Wszczęto procedurę uzyskania zgody na wykorzystanie tego terenu – poinformowały służby prasowe pomorskiego wojewody.
Ogromny ssak był już martwy, gdy zauważono go na mieliźnie przy plaży w Stegnie. Kilkunastotonowe zwłoki odholowano do Helu, gdzie tajemnicę śmierci zwierzęcia będą wyjaśniać naukowcy ze Stacji Morskiej Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Z wody ma go wydobyć Urząd Morski w Gdyni, wieloryb ma być złożony na placu zarządzanym przez Agencję Mienia Wojskowego i przekazany Stacji Morskiej. Cała procedura będzie pod ścisłym nadzorem służb weterynaryjnych, służb ochrony środowiska i inspektorów sanitarno – epidemiologicznych.
