Nową łódź motorową i samochód terenowy mają policjanci z Pucka – do walki z kłusownikami.
– Motorówką można płynąć do 90 km/h i przy wietrze osiągającym nawet siłę 6 stopni w skali Beauforta – opisuje starszy szeregowy Szymon Wojciechowski.
Sprzęt zakupiono dzięki pozyskaniu unijnej dotacji i lokalnych samorządów. Będzie wykorzystywana do patrolowania Zatoki Puckiej, do usuwania sieci kłusowniczych, a także sieci źle ustawionych i zagrażających innym użytkownikom akwenu. Łódka, tak jak nowy samochód i sprzęt noktowizyjny, mają służyć głównie do walki z kłusownictwem. Ale wodny patrol będzie też oczywiście reagował na sytuacje zagrożenia życia. Samorządy z powiatu puckiego pomogły finansowo w zakupie sprzętu do zwalczania kłusowników wartego ponad pół miliona złotych. Ponad 350 tysięcy złotych pucka policja pozyskała z funduszy unijnych z Północnokaszubskiej Lokalnej Grupy Rybackiej.
