Lech Wałęsa wśród nowych, honorowych obywateli Żukowa
Lech Wałęsa wśród trzech nowych, honorowych obywateli Żukowa. Kandydaturę byłego prezydenta gminni radni przyjęli wczoraj większością głosów. Wątpliwości nie mieli przy pozostałych dwóch wyróżnionych wczoraj osobach. Honorowe obywatelstwo niemal jednogłośnie przyznano księdzu Stanisławowi Gackowskiemu – byłemu proboszczowi parafii pod wezwaniem Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Maryi Panny w Żukowie, a także Stanisławowi Dunajskiemu – wieloletniemu kierownikowi Ośrodka Zdrowia w Żukowie. Postać Lecha Wałęsy podzieliła radnych – opozycja wskazywała że były prezydent nie zasłużył się Żukowu. – Ostatecznie jego kandydatura przeszła większością głosów – wyjaśniała Sylwia Kubryńska z urzędu gminy Żukowo. Wręczenie tytułów honorowego obywatela zaplanowano na 17 maja – podczas uroczystej sesji rady miejskiej, związanej z rocznicą 25-lecia nadania praw miejskich miastu Żukowo.
