Lasy Państwowe wciąż liczą straty spowodowane piątkowymi wichurami
To największa katastrofa w ponad 90-letnich dziejach Lasów Państwowych. Piątkowa nawałnica zniszczyła ponad 8 mln metrów sześciennych drzew, czyli tyle ile leśnicy w normalnych warunkach pozyskiwali by przez 25 lat.
Największe straty sięgające 95 procent odnotowano w Nadleśnictwie Lipusz, szczególnie w leśnictwach Dywan, Glinowo, Sulęczyno i Zdroje. Tam do udrożnienia pozostaje wciąż kilkaset kilometrów dróg przeciwpożarowych oraz pasów energetycznych. – Ekipy strażaków, leśników i energetyków pracują w tym rejonie 24 godziny na dobę – mówi Anna Kukier z Nadleśnictwa Lipusz. Leśnicy przypominają o obowiązującym od soboty zakazie wstępu do lasu. Powalone i uszkodzone drzewa wciąż zagrażają zdrowiu i życiu – mówi Arkadiusz Bronk, rzecznik Nadleśnictwa Lipusz. Oprócz Lipusza, największe straty odnotowano w Nadleśnictwach: Rytel, Bytów, Czersk i Przymuszewo.
