Zostali wyróżnieni za wybitne osiągnięcia i sukcesy na arenie międzynarodowej, a także wkład w rozwój sportu na terenie Kościerzyny.
6 laureatów nagrody otrzymało stypendia o łącznej wartości 8 tysięcy złotych. To bokser Marcin Rekowski, strongman Sławomir Toczek, karateka Paweł Liedtke, piłkarz Rafał Kosznik, a także trenująca kickboxing Kamila Bednarek i jej trener Bogdan Bliźniak. Nagrody zostały uroczyście wręczone podczas wczorajszej sesji Rady Miasta.
