Kościerscy kombatanci obchodzili wczoraj Dzień Weterana
W obozach, w partyzantce i w niewolniczej pracy na niemieckich majątkach – tak kościerscy kombatanci wspominają czas II wojny światowej. Wczoraj w 76 rocznicę wybuchu tego najtragiczniejszego w dziejach konfliktu spotkali się, by znów porozmawiać i zatrzymać się w chwili zadumy.
Oddział y Wermachtu wkroczyły do Kościerzyny już 2 września, 7 dni później zajęły Wejherowo i Puck, a 14. września 1939 roku Gdynię. Od pierwszych dni wojny całe Kaszuby poddawane były ogromnemu terrorowi hitlerowskiemu. Dokonywano egzekucji a całą warstw ę inteligencji już od października wywożono do Las ów Piaśnickich. W czasie wojny spora część Kaszubów walczyła w partyzantce, a wielu z nich zamknięto w obozach w Stutthofie i Potulicach. Kościerscy kombatanci spotkali się wczoraj z władzami samorządowymi. Była to też okazja do wręczenia Medali za Zasługi dla Związku Kombatantów Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej i Byłych Więźniów Politycznych. (Foto UM Kościerzyna)
