Konferencja o dwujęzyczności w szkolnictwie
Profesorowi Kazimierzowi Kossak Główczewskiemu – ojcowi teorii edukacji kaszubskiej – poświęcono na Uniwersytecie Gdański wczorajszą konferencję o dwujęzyczności w szkolnictwie. Ten model kształcenia wskazywano jako jedyny, który umożliwia przetrwanie małych narodów, takich jak Kaszubi.
– Na Kaszubach brakuje dyskusji o modelach kształcenia – wskazywała organizatorka konferencji dr Adela Kożyczkowska.
Profesor Kazimierz Kossak Główczewski jako pierwszy pedagog na początku lat 90. opracował teorię edukacji kaszubskiej i współuczestniczył w jej wprowadzaniu do szkół. Dzięki temu już 25 lat temu lekcje języka kaszubskiego odbywały się w szkołach w Brusach i Głodnicy. Według naukowców w modelu dwujęzycznym język drugi może być nauczany jak język obcy, tubylczy bądź odziedziczony.
Konferencja odbyła się w ramach cyklu „Dzieci i młodzież na pograniczu kultur. Inspiracje kaszubskie”, który organizują Uniwersytet Gdański i Centrum Edukacji Nauczycieli w Gdańsku.
