Już po raz czwarty, z okazji Uroczystości Najświętszego Ciała i Krwi Chrystusa, zwanego popularnie Bożym Ciałem, na stadionie miejskim w Rumi odbędzie się koncert „Bogu Chwała”.
„Jestem tu, by wielbić, by oddawać chwałę. Jestem tu, by wyznać: to mój Bóg” – to jedna z myśli, które przyświecają koncertowi uwielbienia, który zaplanowano na 31 maja, na godzinę 18:00. Występ odbędzie się na stadionie przy Miejskim Ośrodku Sportu i Rekreacji w Rumi. Wstęp jest bezpłatny.
Muzycy oraz zebrana na stadionie publiczność będą mogli wspólnie udowodnić, że modlitwa to nie tylko skupienie i szept, ale również radość i śpiew. Jedną z pieśni uwielbienia, która wkrótce wybrzmi na scenie, będzie „Słudzy Pańscy, chwalcie Pana”.
Koncert stanowi oddolną inicjatywę, której co roku podejmują się mieszkańcy Rumi, Redy oraz okolic, odpowiadający za organizację śpiewu w lokalnych parafiach. Wydarzenie nawiązuje do tradycyjnych obchodów chrześcijańskich, będąc jednocześnie ich radosnym akcentem.
Jedną z osób od lat zaangażowanych w inicjatywę jest Weronika Korthals – kaszubska wokalistka, kompozytorka i multiinstrumentalista, grająca między innymi na pianinie, skrzypcach, gitarze oraz saksofonie. Jest również laureatką wielu prestiżowych konkursów i festiwali. Artystka cyklicznie angażuje się także w lokalne inicjatywy charytatywne.
