Komisja Europejska zawiesza wsparcie dla rolników
Komisja Europejska zawiesza wsparcie dla rolników dotkniętych skutkami rosyjskiego embarga. Według unijnego komisarza do spraw rolnictwa wnioski o wsparcie w ramach uruchomionego pod koniec sierpnia mechanizmu osiągnęły już wartość 125 mln euro. To cała kwota, jaką Komisja przeznaczyła na rekompensaty za wycofywanie z rynku niektórych owoców i warzyw w związku z utratą rosyjskiego rynku zbytu. Dlatego, według komunikatu Komisji Europejskiej, nowe wnioski nie będą przyjmowane. Poinformowano w nim także, że w przypadku niektórych produktów prośby o rekompensaty były „nieproporcjonalne”, a wielkość produkcji jakiej dotyczyły te wnioski, była o kilka razy większa niż cały średni roczny eksport Unii Europejskiej do Rosji. Komisja Europejska nie wymienia z nazwy żadnego państwa. Jednak – jak podaje portal tvp parlament – według unijnych źródeł wątpliwości budzą dane z Polski, skąd pochodzi 87 proc. wniosków o rekompensaty. Dlatego Komisja poprosiła o weryfikację danych. Teraz unijne rządy, w tym także władze w Warszawie, mają sześć tygodni na sprawdzenie wniosków, weryfikację i nadesłanie wyjaśnień. Od tego Komisja uzależnia decyzję o wypłacie rekompensat. Komisarz do spraw rolnictwa zapowiedział też, że w najbliższych dniach zaproponuje nowy system wsparcia dla rolników, dotkniętych rosyjskim embargiem, który będzie bardziej skuteczny.
