Kolejny rekord gdańskiego lotniska
Port Lotniczy im. Lecha Wałęsy w Gdańsku obsłużył w 2018 r. ponad 4,9 mln pasażerów. Wynik ten plasuje gdańskie lotnisko tuż za warszawskim i krakowskim.
Najchętniej latano do Londynu, Oslo i Sztokholmu. Najwięcej podróżnych obsłużono w sierpniu. Było ich wtedy ponad pół miliona. Dużą popularnością cieszyły się też loty czarterowe. Najczęściej wybieranym kierunkiem była Grecja, gdzie poleciało 42 proc. podróżnych, oraz Turcja i Hiszpania. Uruchomiono również nowe kierunki, takie jak: Ateny, Wiedeń, Kijów czy Ryga. Wzrosły również przeładunki towarów. W ciągu całego roku w terminalu Cargo lotniska odprawiono 6213 ton ładunków. To o 12 proc. więcej niż w 2017 r.
