– Kierujący i pasażerowie lekceważą przepisy, ale co ważniejsze odbierają sobie i współpasażerom szanse przeżycia wypadku drogowego – mówi Tomasz Latusek z Komendy Wojewódzkiej Policji w Gdańsku
Podczas kontroli na terenie całego województwa pomorskiego funkcjonariusze zwracali szczególną uwagę czy kierujący oraz pasażerowie przestrzegają obowiązku jazdy w pasach bezpieczeństwa, a także czy dzieci podróżujące w pojazdach są prawidłowo przewożone. Policjanci sprawdzali też stan trzeźwości kierujących. Podczas dwóch tysięcy kontroli wykryto 856 naruszeń przepisów ruchu drogowego, z czego 438 dotyczyły niezapinania pasów bezpieczeństwa. Niezapinanie pasów jest niebezpieczne, ale też i kosztowne. Grozi za to stuzłotowy mandat i dwa punkty karne. Pasażer bez pasów kosztować będzie kierującego kolejne 100 zł i 4 punkty karne.
