Kaszubi w Kanadzie chcą pamiętać o swojej historii
Podpisy pod listem poparcia dla upamiętnienia kaszubskiej emigracji do Kanady zbiera stowarzyszenie Kaszëbskô Jednota.
Chcą wesprzeć działania drużyny hokejowej Kashubian Griffins – czyli Kaszubskie Gryfy, która w prowincji Ontario planuje ustawić tablicę upamiętniającą imigrację Kaszubów z 1858 roku. „Ta historyczna pamiątka będzie przypominać o wkładzie jaki naród kaszubski włożył w rozwój Wilna, Barry’s Bay i okolic Round Lake Centre” – czytamy w apelu Kaszebści Jednote na jej stronie internetowej. Znajdziemy tam też list poparcia w wersji kaszubskiej i polskiej, który możemy podpisać za pośrednictwem internetowego formularza.
Dzięki wparciu kaszubskiej społeczności, drużynie hokejowej Kaszubskie Gryfy z Kanady łatwiej będzie pozyskać sponsorów i zgodę lokalnych władz. Link do formularza znaleźć można pod adresem kaszebsko.com.
