List otwarty Stowarzyszenia Kaszëbskô Jednota do Prezydenta RP
O pomoc w uznaniu Kaszubów w prawie polskim za mniejszość etniczną apeluje do Prezydenta RP stowarzyszenie Kaszëbskô Jednota. Opublikowanym właśnie listem otwartym chce wywołać dyskusję podczas XV Zjazdu Kaszubów, na którym prezydent Bronisław Komorowski będzie gościem. Stowarzyszenie przypomina, że w spisie powszechnym z 2011 roku 233 tysiące Kaszubów zadeklarowało bycie odrębną wspólnotą etniczną a 18 tysięcy z tej liczby określiło swoją tożsamość jako narodową kaszubską. Mimo to od 2005 roku prawo polskie uznaje jedynie nasz język, traktując Kaszubów jako polską grupę regionalną posługującą się jednak językiem różnym od polskiego. Od początku swojego istnienia stowarzyszenie Kaszebsko Jednota apeluje o urealnienie statusu prawnego Kaszubów. Kolejną okazją do przypomnienia tego jest Zjazd Kaszubów – mówi sekretarz organizacji Karol Rhode.
Dodajmy, że Zjazd Kaszubów odbędzie się już w najbliższą sobotę we Władysławowie.
