Kamery pomogą kartuskiej policji monitorować ruch w mieście
7 kamer będzie monitorować ulice Kartuz, system ma ruszyć od przyszłego miesiąca. Gmina ogłosiła przetarg na budowę monitoringu wizyjnego, wcześniej powstało centrum monitoringu w siedzibie komendy powiatowej policji.
– Kamery mają działać prewencyjnie i ułatwić działanie służb mundurowych – wyjaśnia burmistrz Kartuz Mirosława Lehman.
Kamery będą pracować w systemie cyfrowym i bezprzewodowym, będzie też możliwość zdalnego sterowania ich ruchem. Urządzenia zostaną umieszczone w newralgicznych skrzyżowaniach w mieście – Gdańskiej z Węglową, Kolejowej z 3 Maja, Placu Świętego Brunona, Piłsudskiego, 3 Maja z Majkowskiego i Kościuszki, Wzgórza Wolności z Bohaterów Westerplatte oraz Kościuszki z Dworcową. 7 kamer na skrzyżowaniach to początek, docelowo ma ich być 13 na terenie całego miasta. System monitoringu ma być uruchomiony jeszcze w listopadzie tego roku.
