Jutro obchodzimy Dzień Jedności Kaszubów
Specjalne wydarzenia w Pucku, Władysławowie, Gdańsku i Bojanie, czarno-żółte flagi na ulicach – jutro obchodzimy Dzień Jedności Kaszubów. Święto ma nam przypominać o tym, że Kaszubi są wspólnotą.
19 marca 1238 papież zatytułował szczecińskiego księcia „księciem Kaszub”. Jest to pierwsza, znana nam wzmianka historyczna o Kaszubach. Na jej pamiątkę w 2004 roku w Gdańsku obchodzono święto po raz pierwszy. Wtedy był to przemarsz ulicami miasta z czarno-żółtymi flagami. Dzisiaj świętowanie przyjmuje różne formy. – We Władysławowie, o jedenastej, odbędzie się na przykład pierwszy Bieg Jedności Kaszubów – mówił Janusz Nowicki z Centrum Promocji Władysławowa, które na jutro przygotowało też koncert Almost Jazz Group.
Już dzisiaj w Muzeum Ziemi Puckiej w oddziale Szpitalik otwarta zostanie wystawa „Z Kaszubsko-Słowiańskich i Polskich Losów Pomorza Zachodniego” – do Pucka zapraszamy na godzinę 18:00. 19 marca świętowany jest też w Gdańsku – o godzinie 11:00 Kaszubi złożą kwiaty pod pomnikiem Świętopełka Wielkiego. Z kolei w niedzielę – 20 marca – w Bojanie spróbują pobić rekord w jednoczesnej grze na akordeonie. Do pokazania pozytywnych cech Kaszubów zachęca wójt gminy Szemud, Ryszard Kalkowski.
