Jest już termin otwarcia obwodnicy Kościerzyny
Kościerska obwodnica, po 2 latach robót, jest już gotowa. Pierwsze samochody pojadą nową drogą w południe 1 października. Dzień wcześniej mieszkańcy będą mogli obejrzeć inwestycję podczas Dnia Otwartego. Budowa obwodnicy kosztowała 237 mln złotych, które na ten cel przeznaczył polski rząd.
– Droga zostanie oddana do użytku kierowcom w najbliższą niedzielę – zapewnia rzecznik GDDKiA, Piotr Michalski.
Droga liczy prawie 8 km i omija miasta od południa. Rozpoczyna się przy wjeździe do miasta od strony Chojnic i łączy z powrotem z drogą krajową nr 20 w miejscowości Kościerska Huta. Na jej trasie wybudowano 4 węzły drogowe i 9 obiektów inżynieryjnych, w tym wiadukt kolejowy, mosty, ekrany akustyczne i przejścia dla pieszych. Dzień przed oficjalnym otwarciem, w sobotę 30 września na obwodnicy odbędą się 23. Kościerskie Biegi Uliczne. Po południu, od godziny 14:00 będzie można wziąć tam również udział w pikniku rodzinnym. Organizatorzy zachęcają do zabrania ze sobą rowerów, rolek i deskorolek. Piknik odbędzie się na wysokości ulicy Plebanka.
