Kompozytor, poeta, publicysta, działacz kaszubski, autor Słownika polsko-kaszubskiego – Jan Trepczyk został ogłoszony patronem roku 2019 przez Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko – Pomorskie.
– Chcieliśmy uczcić Jana Trepczyka przy okazji 30 rocznicy jego śmierci – mówił gość porannej audycji Dzień Dobry Kaszuby – Radosław Kamiński.
O uhonorowanie mistrza wnioskował wejherowski oddział ZKP. Podkreślał, że o takich wzorach umiłowania Kaszub nie wolno zapomnieć. Inauguracja obchodów Roku Jana Trepczyka odbędzie się 6 lutego w Szkole Podstawowej w Miszewie. Placówka nosi imię tegorocznego patrona ZK-P. Na cały rok zaplanowano kilkanaście działań promujących postać Mestra Jana, wśród nich koncerty, wystawy czy wydanie płyty z archiwalnymi nagraniami.
